Subliminal messages in movies
Subliminal messages in movies has been a touchy subject for years. It's a form of communication that is not accepted in our society, however many people believe we are subjected to it. And the thing is, we might be.
Subliminal messaging is basically a way of advertising. For example by showing you images in a movies for such a short time that you can't actually see it. According to some people your subconscious mind does receive these images. People often use a research from 1957 as proof of this theory. But the guy who did those tests admitted he faked the results.
Many people are actually afraid that our entire society is brainwashed by the government, and they use subliminal messaging to achieve this. And even in your own trusted movie theater they believe this is going on. Every millisecond someone tells you 'Buy stuff' and so you obey that voice that you don't actually hear. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is looking up stuff surrounding this conspiracy theory. You will be lost for hours and scared shitless.
Personally I think that Subliminal messages are completely useless. There hasn't been a single study (that wasn't faked I should add) that proved this theory right, it's still just a theory.
I honestly don't expect that more people watched 'The Little Mermaid' because someone made a tower look like a penis. And even if all these accusations are true, It's probably just some cartoon artist who think he's funny. Disney has often been criticized on showing sexual images in unlikely places, so small that no one will probably see it at first look.
So there's no need to lay awake tonight worrying wether or not the evil government is trying to brainwash you. I'm pretty sure they aren't. And even if it is true, you have a good excuse why you just got horny during that kids movie (my subliminal mind just got turned on by a image I didn't see!).
