I definitely think so. Thanks to these romantic movies we romantize life (pun intended). You're not going to kiss your lover in the rain or find love at first sight. That just isn't the way our world works.
Women tend to be the biggest believers. Always clinging on the hope of finding that knight and his noble steed. But just as princess Fiona found out in 'Shrek', things aren't what they seem. Real love simply isn't always romantic or beautiful. Real love is something only a few movies have captured perfectly.
Don't worry I'm not some cat lady with a grudge towards love. I just like to crush peoples dreams.
In all seriousness though, the kind of love we see in the movies is nothing compared to the real deal. It's so much better, it's so much more special.
So stop expecting too much and just enjoy the ride!
